The benefit programs offered through the Webster and the Social Insurance Scheme are intended to provide you with real solutions to every day problems. It is the purpose of this section to provide you with information on who is eligible for benefits, how to enroll, and when changes in coverage can be made.

Public Holiday

All staffs at WE will receive the China’ public holidays, normally 11 days in total.They are:

• New Year (1st January), about one day off
• Chinese Lunar New Year (at January or February), about three days off
• QingMing Festival (at April), about one day off
• Labor Day (1st May), about one days off
• Dragon Boat Festival(at June), about one day off
• Mid-autumn Festival (at September or October), about one day off
• National Day (1st October), about three days off

Paid Leave

Foreign teachers will receive 3 weeks’ paid leaving for successfully completing one-year full time contract and renewing another one-year full time contract.

Social Insurance Scheme (for Chinese full-time staffs only)

What is Social Insurance Scheme?
A Social Insurance Scheme is a state-supported plan covering retirement, compo, procreation, unemployment, and health insurance. This Scheme is applied to the Chinese citizens only.

Eligibility
Any full-time employee (Chinese citizen only), is eligible to participate in the Webster's benefit programs.

New Enrollments
As a new employee, you have to hand in your Social Insurance Booklet and 2 passport-sized photographes at the date you begin employment. However, it is advisable that you hand in as soon as possible, preferably before your start date. If you do not hand in your Social Insurance Booklet within this period, you will NOT have another opportunity to enroll until the next month.

Insurance Package (For other Staffs)

Part-time Staffs
An insurance allowance package (the highest reparation is RMB50,000) will be provided in working place during contract period. The insurance package includes:
Accident Bum, Disabled, Death Indemnity (ADD): the highest reparation is RMB 50,000
Accidents Medical Cost Redeem (AMR): the highest reparation is RMB 5,000 -10,000

Full-time Foreign Staffs
An insurance allowance package (worth RMB800) will be provided in working place during contract period. The insurance package includes (For more information, please see the Insurance Policy):
Accident Bum, Disabled, Death Indemnity (ADD): the highest reparation is RMB 100,000
Accidents Medical Cost Redeem (AMR): the highest reparation is RMB 5,000
Hospital Indemnity (HI): the highest reparation of operation is RMB 7,000-120,000, extra subsidy of RMB100 per dayNew Enrollments

Designation of Beneficiary
When you are first hired, you will be asked to designate a beneficiary. Identifies the individual or individuals who will receive a survivor benefit if you die during your employment. The beneficiary is usually your spouse if you are married, otherwise your parents. You will also need to provide the details of the beneficiary, which includes the permanent address, date of birth, etc. You will need to complete a new Form whenever you wish to change beneficiaries during your membership. Common reasons for beneficiary changes include a change in marital status.

Housing

The School will provide either the accommodation or accommodation allowance to all foreign teachers.

Fundamental Setup
Single Bedroom (One more room in case of a couple with children) with shared kitchen, bathroom and living room

Applications:
(for sharing) microwave oven, TV set, air-conditioner, washing machine (without the function of drying), gas water heater.

Furniture:
1. Wardrobe, single bed, with a set of bedding, including bed sheet, quilt, quilt cover, pillow, pillowcase; 2. One writing table, one reading lamp and chair (one for a person and three standby)

The employee is liable for utilities, electricity, gas, water charges, telephone and Internet bills during his/her stay.

Flight Ticket

A flight allowance of RMB3000 for each way will be paid to the foreign teachers who successfully completes one-year full-time contract and can provide the receipt of flight ticket.

Free Language Courses

Chinese Lessons
Mandarin lessons are provided for foreign teachers. These will be arranged at times convenient to everyone involved.
English / French Lessons
English / French lessons are free to all staffs who want to improve their English / French level. Please fill an application form at the Department of HR. A test and register will be arranged by a counselor of WEI.

On-campus Facilities (for teaching staffs)

Teachers’ Room
The Teachers’ room equipped with central airconditioning is beside the reception area and can be entered from the main corridor. It is open plan and is equipped with computers, telephones, resources such as a tiny-library for teachers’ use, etc. There is one office for the DOS. The remaining desk space is shared equally between all teachers.

Computers, email, internet and intranet
Every teacher can have internet and intranet access as well as email (Microsoft Outlook Express). Please remember that priority for computers goes to those working on lessons or other school business. The internet can only be used for educational purposes.

Stationery
You will be provided with board pens, paper etc. when you arrive. If you need more stationery, put it on the list and Administrative officer will order it. All stationery must be signed for and you may be asked to account for it at a later date.

Repast room
There is a repast room behside the classroom 6, which has microwave oven and fridge there. Teachers should have their lunch/diner there. Eating food in office is absolutely forbidden.

Canteen
A canteen beside the classroom 2 with drinks for sale.
